THE BOTANIST COOKBOOK | BRUTALIST INFOGRAPHIC DESIGN
Infographic: The Botanist Cookbook was designed by Good God Graphics as a brutalist-style exploration of herbal medicine. The project aimed to showcase the uses of herbs, roots, seeds, and flowers in a way that felt raw, structured, and visually striking.
The layout combines rigid grids with oversized type, layered textures, and dense text blocks, echoing the brutalist design movement. Herbs like ashwagandha, hibiscus, milk thistle, and ginkgo biloba are illustrated and described with their medicinal and culinary uses, each placed within a strict visual framework that demands attention.
The end result is an infographic that feels more like a poster than a chart, inviting viewers to explore the information in a non-linear way. It balances research with aesthetic experimentation, turning a detailed guide on herbal medicine into a bold design statement.
